Biography

Krešimira Gojanović was born on 13th February, 1970 in Osijek, Croatia. After finishing The School for Applied Arts in Zagreb in 1989, she enrolled in The Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, the department of graphics, from which she graduated in 1993. She is a member of The Croatian Union of Independent Artists, of The Croatian Society of Fine Artists and of LIKUM.

Since 1993, she presented her work in 35 one-man exhibitions in Croatia and Slovenia. Her paintings, drawings and graphics can be divided into several thematic cycles : " The Birth of a Planet ", " The Resurrection of Prometheus ", " The Birth of Venus ", " Space Flowers ", " Witchdance ", " Mystical Belvederes ", " The Intergalactic Confederacy ", " The Power of Archetypes ". She also writes poetry and gives feminist performances ( " The Priestess ", " The Energy of Venus ", " The Manifesto of Antichristine ", " The Ritual of Unmasking ", etc. ) at the openings of her exhibitions.
